My first day Gluten-Free!

Goodmorning friends! This is my first day Gluten-Free!

Gluten-Free? Yep! I’m going to try it and see how it goes!

Last night I was babysitting, and the lady who I was sitting for got me totally excited about trying Gluten-Free. She just put her family on a Gluten-Free diet after a ton of research.

There are many reasons why one would go Gluten-Free. I’m not sure I have an intolerance, but a few things that sparked my interest were: “adrenal exhaustion, weak thyroid, little bumps on arms, and digestion problems.”

I have a few friends who have gone Gluten-Free, and they love it! They say their energy has really increased, and they feel like it’s much easier to maintain a healthy weight.

I know that all people are different, and that this may not work for me, but I as you all know, I love trying new things- especially in my diet! I feel like the only way to find out is to give it a shot myself! If you want to read more about Gluten-Free, read what this lady has to say. She makes it very simple!

Also, I am doing a Physiology Report on Celiac Disease and presenting information to the class in about 1 month. What better way to learn about something than to experiment with it yourself?! Be careful interpreting this one! 😉

Anyways, I am super excited for this new blogging adventure! Follow me as I learn what it’s like to be gluten-free! P.S. Check out the coffee cup. That’s what a gift from a best-friend looks like! Haha, Kayla got me this awesome cup. It can fit 3 regular cups of coffee! (I don’t drink more coffee than I used to- I only fill it 1/3 of the way)

Here is the Gluten-Free bread that I enjoyed this morning. I toasted it and put fig butter on it, and had 2 eggs as well. It was so good! I really like Gluten-Free bread. It’s much more dense and much less “gummy.” It’s something to try, and maybe develop a taste for, but it’s a fun change!

I picked this kind up at Trader Joes (if I remember correctly- It was in the freezer from a little while back. I’ll let you know for sure later today!)

Anyways, I hope you all have a beautiful day! I really am going to take pictures today! Haha, I absolutely forgot yesterday! I guess I just got used to not taking pictures! Eek! Better today, friends 🙂

Here is another Dr. Seuss quote that I really liked! Be who YOU are. Just like I said yesterday! Here’s to another happy day!

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” -Dr. Seuss

I’m in the process of reading “Wheat Belly” by William Davis, MD.. The book is about eliminating wheat from our diets and is the key to permanent wieght loss and can offer relief from a broad specturm of health and digestive problems. Recommended reading for all who think they may have a sensitivity to wheat…
