Tone It Up Protein Pancakes!

Good afternoon friends! So, I am here to talk about a couple things including protein bars, protein pancakes, and Tone It Up.

First of all, my Snack before I left my house this morning. I grabbed one of my homemade protein bars on my way out. Click here for the recipe 🙂

Next, PANCAKES! I am here to share with you the Tone It Up recipe for pancakes. Karena & Katrina share this one on their blog.

The ingredients are:

  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (organic brown rice protein or whey)- visit your local nutrition store or wholefoods!
  • 2 tbs vanilla almond milk or skim
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbs ground flaxseed
  • After above ingredients are mixed together add 1/2 banana (mashed)- mash first, then add!!
  • Add a handful of fresh or frozen blueberries

One the pancake starts to bubble (just like any other pancake) flip it very carefully!

Let it cook on its belly for a little while, and check it with a fork to make sure the middle is done 🙂

They say to top it with strawberries, and if you’d like, stevia.

I don’t have any strawberries at the moment, so I just substituted the other half of my banana 🙂

Yes, it’s a little bit pricey, but when I compared it to the price of a one time session with a personal trainer, it didn’t seem too bad. I have read through about half the packet that you get immediately, and I have already learned so much! I am going to start the 7 Day Slim Down tomorrow, just to cleanse my body and get me motivated! I am super excited about it; I always love trying something new!

This nutrition plan is all about being happy, healthy, and FIT! It’s all about getting toned, and eating the right foods at the right time of day, in the proper combinations for weight-loss. I am so excited to start on this lifetime journey with the TIU family, and I would LOVE to know if any of you do Tone It Up too!

  1. I do the Tone It Up! I started in January, but got off track. This week I started back. I love love love their recipes and how they have the meals set up! It’s just an adjustment, for me, to eat so much more throughout the day – but I know this is the healthy way to do it!

    How is the slim down going for you? I was going to do it now, but I’m training for a half marathon, so want to wait until my exercise regiment isn’t so intense.

    • I did the slim down last week, and it went great, however I am having so much trouble coming off of it. Some girls do fine, others struggle, like me, and get massive cravings. Dieting is honestly just not for me! I have known this forever, but have fallen back into it. It works for some though!
      My normal way of eating is lots of small meals throughout the day, but I have to listen to my own cravings. I can’t go by someone elses plan. I’m going to do a post on this tonight.
