      Hey there my name is Lauren Crane, and I found your site threw many friends we have in common on Facebook. What really got me to like your blog is that you are gluten free. I have been struggling with stomach issues the past couple of years, in and out of hospitals and was told that I have had an ulcer. I decided to change my diet and thought it might be related to gluten. Ever since I cut gluten out of my diet..about a month ago, my stomach has been feeling so much better. It is hard to cut out of the foods that I love, but your recipes look so delicious and easy to do. I have a couple really good recipes that are healthy and gluten free, if you would like me to share them with you. I found it very inspirational about your journey post because I had similar weight issues when I was younger and took it to the extreme. Keep up the everyday postings. I absolutely love them!

    • Hi! My guidelines are the serving sizes from the box! I usually just weigh everything in grams. Most often when I am using things like sliver almonds, raisins, granola, etc… I usually use 1/2 servings or even less. I basically just like to know in my mind how much I am actually eating.

    Hi Paige, I’m wondering what made you get tested for a gluten intolerance. Were you just wondering, or did you see signs that you might have an intolerance? I’m wondering what to look out for. Thanks!

    • I was actually just at my doctors office and always wanted to know, so I asked him to test me! When he did he said, yep! No more wheat for you! It literally pained my tummy when he tested me- so I knew I should try my best from then on to steer clear of wheat. I am glad that I asked- It couldn’t hurt!

    I just wanted to say I love your blog and your fun comments about your healthy food choices. I never read your story (because I originally found a recipe on pintrest and just started following from there), but now I am so glad I did! I literally have around the exact same story as you… and I am probably where you were exactly a year ago… on the road to recovery, my nutrisionist/therapist made me take out grains, sugar, dairy, blah blah blah. I am also the heaviest I have ever been and it is just so difficult. However, reading your story was very encouraging and inspiring. Makes me think I can get to a healthy point again and I can’t wait… I also know Jesus really does work everything out for our good :)! Thanks for sharing.

    • Yes He does girly! You got that right for sure! You sound like you are in the SAME spot I was in. Just know it gets better! All you have to do is keep thinking positive everyday. Take it a day at a time, and be thankful for everything around you. Do things, and eat things that you ENJOY! Make your life healthy by walking, cooking new things, doing exercises that you love, doing floor exercises while dinner cooks, and things like that. All those things make being healthy fun! Like for me, I now wake up 30 minutes earlier each morning so I can get out and go for a walk, and I take my little dog, Noah, and my coffee with me! Starts my morning off great! SO HAPPY you found my blog! 🙂

    I have just stumbled onto your blog today! I have my own blog that I have been neglecting lately but I am getting back into the swing of things and my friend and I are compiling a list helathy foods (inspired by tone it up!) and going to the store and come Monday we are going to kick butt! I am so excited! I have been dealing with my weight my whole life and actually have lost 20 pounds the past year 1/2 by doing 40 days of low carb (which I blogged about for 40 days) and then I did 30 days of vegan (which I also blogged about). But I have been on every diet/meal plan there is since I was about 10 and I have decided I am done with that “diet-cycle” and I am going to make a LIFESTYLE CHANGE! I will be blogging about my journey come Monday also posting recipies and taking before and after pics because there is still about 25-30 lbs I want to lose so it will be a journey but this time I am going to make it for life!
