GOOD Morning

Good morning friends! Hope you all slept great! Happy Friday! You guys ready for the weekend?


This morning, I started my day off with my Quiet time.. So many of you always ask what my quiet time is

My Quiet mornings are just time to myself, before I start my day doing anything else. I have a perfect pattern that I end up somehow following each day.

  • Wake up
  • Roll out of bed
  • Make my bed with my millions of pillows (I love them!)
  • Go downstairs, get my coffee (coffee, almond milk, agave)
  • Come back upstairs, sit in my comfy chair with my blanket and coffee, and read my devotionals
  • Sit at my desk with music on (soft, loving music- not rap!) and write in my journal about thankfulness
  • Then, after I have written in my journal and had me time, I get online and check out all of my favorite blogs & go comment crazy
  • Next, I make breakfast, snap photos, brighten them up, and write to you all
  • Usually following all of this comes the gym, but some mornings my quiet time just ends up getting extended 😉

Today, the gym is happening right after this post. I am going to a Step II Class (fancy!!)


In my cereal this morning, I had-

  • 1/2 bran flakes
  • 1/2 high fiber cereal
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/8 cup baby (wild) blueberries
  • unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 tbsp. almond butter

And of course, coffee. I had my coffee with breakfast black, as I like black coffee with food

Truly, I usually go through coffee phases which include:

  • black coffee
  • almond milk and agave coffee
  • almond milk and half & half coffee
  • coffee mate creamyyy coffee

As you can see, they usually get worse and worse for me, haha! The coffee mate seasons always end up being around the Holidays. I wonder why? 😉


I think I am spoiled with my food. I never just have a “regular bowl” of cereal. All of my food must be full of flavor.

Enough said. Spoiled!

What videos would you guys like to see on HHTS?

Hey girls! Hope you are all doing great! I am babysitting right now, and the kido’s are sitting here with me.

I am posting as they are eating their dinner, and we are listening to Pandora. They are all smiles! What good kids 🙂

Today as a snack, I had 3 kiwis. Not that we are counting calories here, but just so you guys know, kiwis are mainly protein and fiber! 25 healthy calories per kiwi. Here is a link to the nutrition facts.

And guess what went on my car today?!

This gets me so excited! Every time I look in my rear view mirror now, I see my blog title! What a good feeling 🙂

For lunch, I had a wrap, and a bowl of tomato soup

Yes, I know that looks like a salad, because it was full of lettuce! I actually had to eat some before I rolled it up 😉

It was so great! I heated up the tortilla with a little bit of olive oil spray in the pan, first. It softened it up really nicely 🙂

Okay, so, as some of you may remember from a couple weeks ago, my Dad is working on our house.

He is taking all of the ‘popcorn’ off the ceilings, re-doing all of the flooring, and painting pretty much everywhere.

I had to share this. I’m sure it would drive some of you nuts (it drove me nuts at first), but believe it or not, I am learning to live with it. At least my room is spotless and dust free! That’s the beauty of being able to close your door! The rest of the house doesn’t get that benefit.

Do you see how much dust there is? It’s drywall dust! Gah! Haha, I cannot wait till it’s gone.

I tease a lot about the dust, but my Dad really is working so hard everyday. I am excited that he and my Mom are going to have such a nice home afterwards. He is a hard worker and most definitely a d0-it-yourself guy! It’s really handy!

Do you girls have a do-it-yourself Dad or Hubby?

While I was working today (for those of you who don’t know, I am a Nanny) I enjoyed a dessert cup of coffee

I decided to treat myself with a little bit of light whipped cream, marshmallows, and cute little sprinkles for a pop of color!

This is just black coffee, with half & half, because that’s what was available to me at the time. If you have a Mocha Mix, or just hot chocolate, you should totally treat yourself to this! It’s so pretty♥ and yummy! If you want to make your own Mocha, put a package of hot cocoa in about 8oz of coffee, with a splash of your favorite milk.

When I got home from my Nanny job, I snacked on this small apple and scoop of peanut butter.

Yum! I think nut butters, and nuts for that matter, are one of the most satisfying things for me.

When I say this, remember that we are all different, and certain things satisfy each of us; it’s okay if nuts don’t satisfy you…

For me, when I have something with nuts, like a nut butter, or especially a LARABAR, my appetite is soo satisfied (&happy).

What satisfies you the best?

After my apple, I was standing in the kitchen talking to my Mom about saving money, when she pulled out the chocolate chips. Haha, writting about this, I can see that it all makes perfect sense. Talking about saving money for your childs college, and reaching for the chocolate chips at the same time.

Hello stresses of having a 20 year old daughter!

I wish I could afford to pay for everything on my own… wouldn’t that be nice? Who knows, maybe a big blessing will come and I will be able to! I’m going to work my tush off & save in the meantime!

Question for all of you: what videos would you like me to do? Do you have specific questions that you would like to SEE me answer? I think some girls want me to do one on bingeing because it is, or has been a big, heavy habit for many of us!

Bike ride with the boyfriend made my day :)

Good evening! Okay, so tumblr decided to finally start working for me 😉

I wanted to post a pictures of my proud organization from this morning! See my vision board? All the pictures of girls are just outfits that I like 🙂

All my bookaroos. This is where I usually sit in the morning with my coffee and a cozy blanket and my favorite book. I think everyone deserves to spend the first part of there day just for them 🙂

And this is where the blogging happens! My desk 🙂

I filled out my little white pink board on my mirror so I can keep track of the workouts that I do each day. Like today, I did the P90X Ab ripper. Tomorrow I am going to a body works gym class: I like to keep it interesting!

As a snack around 2ish, I had cottage cheese with berries, walnuts, and coconut. Mmm, yummy combo!


After I ate my snack, I worked for a little while, took Griffin to get new school stuff, picked up his basketball gear, and dropped him off at practice. That boy- I am a lucky nanny. I love the days where he just talks about everything that he’s excited about. He’s got such enthusiasm!


Now after that comes a great part of my day! I drove out to Camarillo and hungout with Kurt before he went off to work. We watched a movie, hungout, laughed our butts off, and then went for a bike ride to Starbucks to get Green Tea Fraps (well, I rode a bike, he skateboarded). It was honestly so much fun. My favorite part was riding in front of him and looking back to see that big smile on his face 🙂

And here is the picture of my Green Tea as I was driving home and almost finished! Haha, at least I remembered at some point, right!?

My first time doing P90X

Hey guys! How is everyone doing today?

This morning, I woke up in a cleaning mood. I went downstairs, got my coffee, and went right back upstairs to start cleaning my room. With all the business and activity, I didn’t have much of an appetite. I had this protein drink for breakfast. I’m literally now craving these. They’re so creamy and good! Who else can agree on that one?

In my drink-

-Aria Women’s Vanilla Protein Powder (2 scoops)

-Peanut Butter flavored coffee (so good with coffee!)

-Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

-1 small banana

After my shake, I cleaned a while longer, then did a 20 minute AB workout with P90X. I loved that workout! Felt great, and it was my first time. I can see this workout getting a little bit repetitive, but that’s why I’m going to mix it up with walking, different videos, the gym, and workout classes. It’ll keep things interesting! I am going to try all of them, and I will write what I think about each one.

After the workout I drank a big glass of water, & had some celery and sunflower seed butter

After that, I cut up a little orange like this! I ate it in two bites. I know it’s a silly way to cut an orange, but it made is so juicy and good! I think I discovered something new 😉

I haven’t had much of an appetite today, and I’m supposed to be going to Sushi at some point in the near future, so I’m not worried about eating more than I have at this point.

I’ll be back to post more later! Hopefully I’ll be posting Sushi with Green Tea ice cream to follow! 🙂
